Illig Construction Leadership Transition
Illig Construction Company, serving institutional and commercial markets for over 104 years in Southern California, announces the appointment of its next President, Charles Kobayashi, effective the end of October 31. Charles brings twenty-seven years of private sector construction experience with a focus in serving K-12, higher education, and religious communities, similar to Illig Construction Company’s institutional client base.
Charles has been serving Illig Construction’s clients as their Project Executive and supporting Illig’s project teams. As President, Charles will continue to be involved in ongoing projects and building strong relationships with Illig Construction’s clients and partners.
Charles brings a passion for serving and growing lasting relationships, a drive to exceed client expectations, and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach. His integrity and values support those lived out over generations of Illig Construction Company team members.
Rita Illig Liebelt, the third generation of Illig family leadership, has served as Illig Construction Company’s President since 1998. She will continue to be involved to support leadership transition, client relations and organization initiatives for the foreseeable future.
